Stewards of Children is a prevention training program that teaches adults how to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. The program is designed for organizations that serve youth and for individuals concerned about the safety of children. It is the only nationally distributed, evidence based program proven to increase knowledge, improve attitudes, and change child protective behaviors.
This workshop is designed for victim advocates, clinicians and mental health professionals who address and work in the field of child sexual abuse. This includes professionals in the fields of Social Work, Professional Counseling, and Marriage & Family Therapy. (Instructional Level: Beginners.)

Who should attend: This workshop is designed for CAC Multidisciplinary Team professionals involved in the criminal and civil child abuse investigations, services delivery, and the legal [process. This workshop is restricted to The CAC and partner agencies staff members only (CPS, Law enforcement, Forensic Services, etc.).
This workshop will focus on the skills, perspectives, and expectations that are involved in doing Single Session Counseling. The presenters will share their experiences with seeing a variety of clients in this way of working and will address how to apply these same principles with clients from The CAC. A consultation and opportunities for practicing this approach will be included.
Ethical situations will be discussed, therefore, 3 hours of Ethics CEs will be included.
