Activity Center

The Activity Center is a warm, welcoming space for children ages 0–17 receiving services at the CAC. Staffed by a team trained in trauma-informed care, it offers a safe, supportive, and fun environment. Children can enjoy movies, video games, arts and crafts, a wide variety of toys, and complimentary snacks and drinks.

The Rainbow Room
The Rainbow Room is a fully stocked resource closet available to all CAC clients and their families. It provides essential items like hygiene products, clothing, shoes, toys, and food—ensuring families have access to what they need during difficult times.

If you’re dropping off donations that follow these guidelines, there’s no need to email or call in advance.

Seasonal Events
Throughout the year, we host events to celebrate milestones and support the children we serve. Our Back-to-School Party helps families prepare for the new school year with backpacks, supplies, and fun activities. In December, our Spirit of Winter event brings holiday joy with over 5,000 toys, festive games, and a special visit from Santa.

These events offer children moments of joy and normalcy on their healing journey. To get involved or learn more, please contact Madeline.Williams@cac.hctx.net.

Volunteer/Intern

The Activity Center is always seeking dedicated volunteers and interns to help create a safe and welcoming environment for children receiving services at the CAC. Please note: Volunteering or interning at the Activity Center is not a clinical internship. To learn more about the requirements and responsibilities, please visit here.
