Prevention

Children are among the most vulnerable members of our community, and protecting them requires all of us working together with purpose, awareness, and action. Child abuse prevention is not only about responding after harm has occurred; it is about equipping adults, organizations, schools, families, and communities with the knowledge and tools needed to recognize risks, respond appropriately, and create safer environments for children.

The impact of child sexual abuse can be life-changing, and once harm occurs, it cannot be undone. Prevention helps reduce the likelihood of abuse before it happens and can lessen the long-term emotional, physical, and behavioral outcomes children can experience. By strengthening awareness, building protective practices, and empowering safe adults, we can help reduce the risk of trauma and re-traumatization later in life.

Our prevention training programs are designed to support this shared responsibility. We invite you to explore our flip book below to learn more about the trainings available and how you, your organization, or your community can take an active role in protecting children and promoting healing, safety, and hope.
