The CAC’s Community Engagement efforts are focused on building meaningful, long-term relationships throughout Harris County. Our goal is to establish trust and connection within communities before a child or family ever needs our services.
Through intentional engagement with community leaders, organizations, businesses, faith communities, civic groups, neighborhood organizations, and other community stakeholders, The CAC works to strengthen awareness of child safety, increase access to resources, and build a network of trusted partners committed to protecting children.
Community Engagement & Events
The CAC participates in community events throughout Harris County as an opportunity to connect directly with children, families, professionals, and community members. Through these connections, we work together to strengthen awareness, build trusted relationships, and create a safer community for children.
Our participation may include:
- Community festivals and family events
- Back-to-school and seasonal events
- Child Abuse Prevention Month activities
- Human Trafficking Awareness initiatives
- Community safety events
- Neighborhood events
- Resource fairs
- Collaborative events with schools, law enforcement, civic organizations, businesses, and community partners
