Clinical Assessments (CA)
A clinical assessment is a trauma-informed mental health evaluation with a focus on understanding a child’s adverse experience of sexual abuse and the impact on the child’s functioning, developmental trajectory, and traumatic symptoms.
The assessment involves clinical interviews, validated measures, and standardized assessment approaches from the caregiver and child’s perspectives. Clinical Assessments are conducted by licensed mental health professionals with experience in trauma-informed care and child sexual abuse.
CARE Sessions-
The Collaborative Approach towards Resilience and Engagement Sessions (CARE) are clinical, interactive, and goal-oriented single sessions that focus on the client’s needs to promote family engagement and prevent the heightening of symptoms while waiting or not in need of long-term trauma treatment. The single-session model is offered, free of charge, to the child, caregivers, siblings, and/or family.
