All cases involving a child as a victim or witness and where criminal charges will be or have been filed, should be referred to CCS by law enforcement, DFPS or CAC Family Advocates. In addition, referrals are accepted from any partner agency or CAC staff.
Submit referrals by emailing CCS at ccs.referrals@cac.hctx.net.
Once a referral is received and criminal charges have been filed or are about to be filed, a CCS Court Advocate will contact the non-offending caregiver. Case status updates and case outcomes can be provided upon request to any partner agency involved in a case. CCS Advocates will provide information, support, and court accompaniment to families going through the criminal court process.
