The Children’s Assessment Center (The CAC) provides a safe haven to sexually abused children and their families – a place where they can receive the kind of care and treatment they so richly deserve.
We employ an extraordinarily effective multidisciplinary team approach in the prevention, assessment, investigation, referral for prosecution, and treatment of child sexual abuse. Our goal is to promote the complete healing of child victims of sexual abuse and their families.
The CAC is an accredited member of the National Children’s Alliance, part of a national movement to create child-friendly intervention systems for sexually abused children, and a member of the Children’s Advocacy Centers of Texas. The CAC is also one of the largest child abuse advocacy centers of its kind in the nation.
The CAC is honored to have Charity Navigator’s 4-star rating for the 12th year in a row, a distinction only 1% of the charities evaluated receive. The Charity Navigator rating indicates that The CAC adheres to sector best practices and executes its mission in a financially efficient way.
The CAC was awarded the Platinum Seal of Transparency, based on our extensive transparency of financial data, service metrics, and progress to achieve our mission. This is the highest level of recognition by GuideStar, the world’s largest source of information on nonprofit organizations.
